I’m Victoria, and I am a teacher/tutor specialising in business studies. I started Signatures Education this year because I want to show my children that even when life gets hard, there are doors open to you. I have grown up in business; lived, breathed and slept through the excitement and stress of everything owning your own business can bring. My parents opened their first of many shops, when I was only one, so I know no other life. Now that I find myself a single parent to 3 amazing kids, I get the opportunity to show them that when you are determined and focused, you can achieve your goals. Everyone has setbacks and successes, if you know your strengths and passions, you can get yourself on the path where you belong.
As a business owner, I’m obsessed with helping others understand nuances and terminology of business. My strengths are in communication, problem-solving, and encouraging others to become their best. I have owned my own successful business while living in Canada, and have also taught, in a variety of schools, the joys and insights of business, economics and accounting. Taking all my life experiences and knowledge of the business world, I am ready once more to restart my business and to be of service to others.
I chose the name Signatures, as my mum and I used to talk about setting up our own accountancy and bookkeeping firm back when I was at uni. It never happened, and she is no longer in my life. My parents' shops were called Signatures. So I have named my business after theirs to fulfil a beautiful dream that has at last, in part, come true.
I run online summer camps and 6-week online courses throughout the academic year on a variety of business related topics and concepts. These courses comfortably introduce individuals to the world of business, understanding how economic policies can affect businesses and households, and use financial documents to assess potential and current status of monetary health. Along with this, my aim to give learners confidence engaging in conversations about the business world, no matter what age they are.
